From the 25th of January 2020 the exhibition NOW LOOK HERE. The African Art of Appearance will be launched in a warehouse in Amsterdam North!
It is an outtake of the N'GOLÁ Biennial in São Tomé e Príncipe last summer, where the works, coming together in one exhibition, evoked a very strong message that as I feel it, is important to reach out.
The exhibition will present the work of fourteen African artists who use outward appearances to tell a deeply rooted story. They upend perceptions of Africa through the use of irony, beauty and style.
